ANIMATION

Illusionist, the film animator creates both magical and technical visual representations. He gives life to lifeless representations by superseding one to another so as to create a story. This story, we invite you to find the universal magic. Imagine the characters, the storyline and the scenery, that are going to awe both young and old alike. Your job as an animation film maker is to invent, without using words, something that will touch the hearts of men and woman all over the world.

ART OF GESTURE

Presentation

Being on stage for a silent play, miming situations or emotions on the street, the art of gesture is a special discipline. Indeed, without words, artists must convey emotions through their bodies which become their only mean of expression. What’s more universal than gestures ? A source of magic and mystery, while at the same time carrying a message, gestures are capable of transmitting the strongest emotions and harmonies. They correspond perfectly with the objections of our charter.

So whether you’re an amateur or a professional, come express yourself at the Olympiads!

CINEMA

Presentation

Words are often a source of controversy. This is why we’ve removed them. A combination of images and music, alone, speaks to our aesthetic vision and to our sense of harmony. It’s this, the challenge, that we invite you to overcome. Create a cinematographic piece, without words; in which a combination of images and music allows everyone, regardless of their culture or geographic position, to receive a message, be it direct or subliminal, of beauty and universal harmony. What artistic dimensions will you give to this film so that it indiscriminately touches all of mankind?

It’s up to you to tell us!

DANCE

Presentation

Dance is one of the key means of expression and has been practiced for millennia.  Be it classical, rock, ballroom, contemporary or even hip-hop, dance is always a huge success. It offers endless possibilities and can suit everyone’s tastes.  Alone, as a duo or a group, dance is practiced by young and old. Dance and music are inseparable as dance is mainly about rhythm. Counting the beats, imagining new steps and original movements; those are the challenges that have to be faced by both amateurs and professional dancers. Rigorousness and precision, not to mention cohesion when it is about a group, make dance a unique, creative and demanding art. So, whether you are a professional or an amateur, a hip-hop or a classical dancer, come and show us your talent and sense of rhythm during the Olymp’Arts !

Representing landscapes or faces, abstract or concrete forms, painting shows the world and its diversity. This is why its universality responds exactly to the goals of the Olymp’Arts. Through the eye of the artist, reality takes on a new, unique and original form.  Searching through the diversity of styles, which are common to all cultures, painting transmits emotions and feelings that move all.

We invite all artists, amateurs or professionals, through their personal experience and their travels, to show what they have learned from the beauty and aesthetics of the world.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Presentation

Everyone knows how to take a picture! What’s more popular and universal?

Universal in diversity, yes. But the universality we’re looking for is at another level. It’s no longer a question of capturing the “scoop” or originality at all costs! It is a question of seizing the moment that the eye perceives when a sublime and almost invisible movement happens! A “magical” moment that a person will “recognize” as a universal value, regardless of his or her age, environment and knowledge.

Come and show the world the magical moments you’ve captured and immortalized.
